BBQ grill mat solves problems of cleanup and flares

I haven't had a chance to use the BBQ grill mat before.  But there are many annoying problems when I grilled previously. Last year, I got to know BBQ grill mat on a TV show. Then I order BBQ grill mat from Amazon YRYM HT store. I received the package two days after I ordered. Just as I got things almost ready, the weather turned bitter cold. But reading other reviews I am sure they will be just what I need. I am a total beginner using a grill. A lot of food I like or want to learn how to grill needs a more solid surface than the racks. I am old but always willing to learn. My grill is a small Propane type. Something easy for me to handle. And dogs that promise to take care of any cooking errors.

I used the BBQ grill mat this summer. It is great for grilling vegetables (& even fruit- try peaches with cinnamon!!), but they don't seem to last longer than a single season. We've gone through several sets of them. Absolutely love the BBQ grill mat!!! No flareups and it allows the food to cook more evenly. You can even get grill marks through the non stick grill mat.  Work really well cooking wings on the grill with middle burner off. Nothing stuck. Excellent. Only used this in the oven so far. Haven't tried it on my grill/smoker. Clean up was easy, although not as easy as rinse off, like advertised. 

It does help with no longer having food fall through cracks, and still getting grill marks. Now I need to figure out the collected drippings challenge. I guess I can continue to just dump into grill reservoir like the drippings did before. Cleans up well after the dump. Overlapping the sheets is easy and great for space making. Between a choice of basket or these....I have both and I need to try veggies on the non stick grill mat now. For meat, the non stick mat is great for marks and space.

Use these camping, so we can utilize the provided grill...without the provided YUCK! :) Grilled up our veggies and Beyond Meat burgers (because eating animals is gross!) just perfectly. Clean up was easy, and storage is simple and takes minimal space. Great to have when you need them! My wife loves these grill mats. This was a reorder for the ones we purchased last year. We use two of them and gave the others to our friends, so when I saw them on the Lightning Deals for a few dollars less than what we paid for the original order, we decided it was time to get some more as pares and presents. I cut this down to fit in my air fryer and it works great. The food just slides right off when cleaning. Great stuff!

How to Grill Ribs

There are many ways to cook pork ribs. Fried ribs and stewed ribs are the most common way to make delicious ribs. However, I like grilled ribs so much. And I create a recipe about how to grill pork ribs.

Ingredients:
1 kg pork ribs
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon of fuel
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of onion powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/2 teaspoon cumin powder
1/4 teaspoon of nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon paprika
1/2 teaspoon of smoked sweet pepper powder

Instructions:
1. Rinse the ribs and drain with kitchen paper towels. Sprinkle salt over the ribs and rub evenly.
2. Mix black pepper, honey, oil, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, cumin powder, cumin powder, nutmeg, chili powder, sweet pepper powder in a large bowl. Add the ribs and stir evenly to make sure the surface of ribs are coated with marinade. After applying evenly, cover with a plastic wrap and put it in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours, preferably overnight.
3. Preheat the oven to 180 degrees, prepare a baking tray and put a layer of butcher paper, put the marinaded ribs in the baking tray, then cover with brown butcher paper, roll the edges of the two layers of butcher paper, and seal them. Then poke two small holes in the butcher paper, then put the ribs in the oven for 180 degrees for 1 hour.
4. Remove the ribs from the oven after 1 hour, adjust temperature to 220 degrees. Unfold the brown butcher paper, transfer the ribs to a plate and collect the excess sauce from the baking tray into a small bowl.
5. Replace a new butcher paper and place on the baking tray, place a shelf that can be fed into the oven, place the ribs evenly on the shelf and brush the previously collected sauce and transfer back to the oven for 220 degrees, bake for 8-10 minutes. Take out and flip, brush the sauce once more and bake for another 5-8 minutes.
6. Take the baking tray out, unfold the butcher paper. It smells so fragrant. And you can serve it!

BEWARE: I have purchased four of these grill mats from YRYM HT and have been very pleased. The current 'buy it now" defaults to a Chinese counterfeit product that is made of unsafe material and of low quality. They have hijacked YRYM HT link. You will have to choose "other sellers" rather than the buy it now due to Amazon's defaulting to the lower priced fakes. Great product. Worked just as advertised. Prepared chicken and pork. No sticking and no mess on grill. Clean up very easy.

Waited to write a review, did salmon and vegetables worked great. This grill mat is a great product. We are using the grill much more because of it. Much easier to clean than the grill itself. I plan to order another set. I have seen victims of wire-brush in hamburger injuries and this eliminates that completely. I was skeptical when I read the product description...but after using it multiple times I have found the mat to be the best accessory I have purchased for my new Weber grill! The ease of use and the easy clean-up makes this purchase a no brainer. I love the way it holds the juices. Great product. Recommend for those that tend to over cook their meats.

My husband does the grilling and usually has flare-ups when doing so. He was so impressed with using the grill mats that we just ordered 4 more sets for relatives for Christmas. Great product! They work great, not only on the grill but also in the oven. Made a home made pizza in the oven using the grill mat and it worked like a charm, the dough did not stick at all slid right off. Better than using a pan any day. This works great. Perfect fish and burgers overtime without flair ups and no mess. My husband loves it. Pretty useful for grilling vegetables and salmon. only think, we careful of using a knife on it. I love my grill mats. They work great. One suggestion before you use them is to make sure your grill racks are clean. Mine were not and cleanup was a little difficult due to the baked on grease from my grill racks. Wonderful surprise to get something that exceeded expectations. We travel a lot and use them all the time with our portable BBQ. So nice to always have a clean grill to use and pack away each time in RV.

YRYM HT Grill Mat Works great with my electric barbecue

I have used the grill mat several times. It is great. I haven't even used the second one at all since the first one is easily washed in the dishwasher. The grates on my Weber propane grill still look brand new and have never needed to be washed. Meat cooks perfectly and grate marks are visible. I can recommend the YRYM HT Grill Mat without hesitation! Worked as stated and love the clean up. I had just replaced my grill and then saw these. The steaks, chicken and hamburgers still have the grill marks and nothing falls through the grill. Absolutely love them. Received this product in a timely fashion. I used it a few days later for the first time to grill vegetables, It worked great, and I look forward to using it to grill steaks and chicken. The Grill Mat works great does exactly what its suppose to and is very easy to clean. I am currently using it on a gas and electric grill and am very pleased with the results. So awesome to use !!!! Makes clean up a snap and no nasty grill brushes to use. I had doubts when I ordered this item, but after one use those doubts were dashed! This grill mat is amazing!! So amazing that I just got my second set today for the camper!!!! It worked great on the charcoal grill with chicken - no flare ups!! Very good product! All the reviews raved about these mats so I ordered them. Used them 3 times on my propane grill. After the 1st use, cooking fish and veggies, i noticed how hot it was to take food off the mats even though temp was set at 350. Put in top rack of dishwasher and all ok. 2nd use was for veggies and same "hot" factor was even worse when trying to spatula off the veggies. 3rd use, same experience! Also, never able to get grill marks as advertised. Left a review to the manufacturer and can't believe they wanted me to review product for Amazon since I had such a negative experience. Oh well, I'm back to grill baskets!

This was a great buy. I grill salmon and vegetables on it frequently and you still get the nice grill marks. Easy to clean. Awesome product! Keeps your grill clean and your food delicious! Have used about five times already. Seems to hold up well, and is very easy to keep clean! So far these have been wonderful! They really do work. I've cooked salmon, veggies, shrimp and burgers. Everything has been cooked evenly and tasted great. No mess is huge factor. Grab some of these! Great product! Tried it right away with some burgers. Stayed nice and juicy and cleanup was a snap. These mats are amazing. We have only used them once, but impressed our friends. We cooked an egg on them for our burgers with no mess. Most excellent. No stick, no flare ups, no mess. I use it on a gas grill and love the results, especially good with pork and chicken. My husband and I recently saw this grill mat on TV. Now we don't usually get hooked by as seen on TV products however we thought this one would be worth a try. Purchased it on Saturday 9/3 and it was delivered the same evening. We were like kids excited to play with our Christmas gifts the next day. Had a cookout with a small group of family. Side note: we had just assembled our new dual charcoal/propane grill so this was an added bonus.

These grill mats are amazing. I wash them after every use and they have kept the grill so clean! My food cooks well and I don't have to worry about food falling through the grill. Easy to use. Worked well with charcoal grill cooking chicken and sausages. Grill marks transferred as expected. Was able to raise and lower coals with no effect to mat. Mat Clean up was easy in sink. Grill clean up was quick. Glad I found these. Kids could turn meat without concern of flare ups. This is an awesome product, it is really great for grilling seafood and veggies, it also works great on burgers or anything else you want to grill. Easy clean up, nothing sticks and just use soap and water.

This grill mat is very cool!! Was looking for a flattop for my gas grill but for $70, no thanks. I found the YRYM HT grill mats while looking for a flattop and decided to purchase them based on their reviews, the lifetime guarantee and YRYM HT stated commitment to customer satisfaction. The grill mats are very thin so they lie flat on the grill. I even got grill marks on my burgers! They're quite slippery so you're guaranteed of no sticking but for burgers I needed a 'pusher' utensil to get the burgers on the spatula.

These grill mats have changed the way we grill. I carmelizes and browns the meat without burning and sticking to the grill. Great grill mat and meats cook fast but still very juicy and tender! Gave it 4 stars because I was expecting them to be a little bigger in size and description says can handle up to 600 degrees but I noticed it looked like it bubbled in spots when at close to 500 degrees. 

UPDATE: I've used the grill mat several times now and I still think it's fabulous. I've found it cleans up faster than cleaning the grill. I get grill marks with burgers but, so far, not with steaks. Because the mat is so thin it doesn't stand upright in the dishwasher. It folds over. The dishwasher can't reach under the fold so I have a bit of cleanup to do post-dishwasher. Working to find a different way to put the mat in the dishwasher. I like the mat so much that I purchased the round mats for my Weber charcoal grill. I use it to grill ribs. I'll update after I use the round mat. Both of my kids will get these grill mats for Christmas.

Update 2: I grilled VERY lean (read no juice) and thick pork chops on the grill mat. They stuck lightly to the mat but were easily removed. It went straight onto the top rack of the dishwasher. After washing very little, if any, of the burned on pork chops had been removed. I used a Dobie and Dawn to scrub the mat. Nothing happened. I switched to a mixture of Dawn and Bar Keeper's Friend and used a Scotch Brite scrubbing pad. VOLIA!! All gone. Yes, it took some rubbing and two cleaning sessions to get it all off. Not enough of a problem to downgrade my rating. Now I know how to clean the mat if/when something sticks to it.

YRYM HT Grill Mat Works Great for Grilling

The grill mat bought from YRYM HT on Amazon is so great. For many grilling meals, it makes it easier and tastier. The package came with two large, thick mats. I trimmed them for my Weber. We bout this mat set for our July cookout. It worked great and saved us from a lot of cleanup. Our burgers were moist and delicious. The grill mats are small and only cover about 2/3 of our Weber Q grill grate but works great for our needs. I have only had this product a short time so I cannot speak to durability. But setting that aside I highly recommend it. It makes a super slick cooking surface. I used it to cook salmon patties, which often disintegrate on the grill. The mat was beyond non-stick. It was like cooking on an Air Hockey table! And the patties also cooked very evenly. There was no problem with heat distribution. I have also used it with equal success in cooking vegetables.

Being new to the world of grill mat, I didn't think they would be anything special. Well I could not have been more wrong. Grilling is a pleasure now, that's right, a pleasure. Nothing sticks, nothing burns, and cleaning is a breeze. I hope that I never have to grill without them. I will definitely order these again, if the ones I have ever wear out. They still look and work like new even though I have used them at least a dozen times. This grill mat works great. used them same day i got them. can't put on super high heat, or use sharp or metal utensils, but otherwise, saves on the grill grates getting messed up and having to scrap them and spray with non-stick sprays. a little care needed when using, but work great. lots of sauces or marinade with likely run off the mat, but reducing amount of liquid on the item being cooked will reduce flare ups. Hubby tried the grill mat at his brother's house, and highly recommends them for ease of grilling and cleaning! Made fabulous burgers and steaks over these mats. So excited to gift this to our "master griller" son-in-law. I would have given it a 5 star rating, but I'm not completely used to the Mat just yet. I grilled some sausage on it and the outcome was very good. Now, here's the best, my wife grows Okra and we tried some on the Mat. They turned out great. The Okra was delicious. If you want a treat, try grilling fresh Okra on the Mat, you'll love it. I can't wait till I grill again. We're going to try burgers and other fresh veggies. I can't wait.

I trimmed it to fit my road trip grill. It worked perfectly. No mess in the grill. Cooked a steak like it was on the bare grill grates. What a fantastic benefit to grilling. Easy clean up. The only issue I had was with delivery from the USPS. They delivered the package to the wrong address. The USPS was unable to recover the package. My address was listed correctly on the shipping label. They offered to send me another at no cost, however I felt it was only right to purchase another. They reached out to me without any compliant from me. Highly recommended. I only tried a few times so far and it works great. It keeps the moisture in the meats, tender and juicy. I use it on one side of the grill and then after it is almost done. I move over to get the grill marks. Especially when you camp grill, you only have to clean the grill mat, before packing it away for next time. Thinking about buying more as gifts to my son's to try. I am very happy with this product.

These are non stick and easy to clean ! They can handle high heat and are transportable. Have been using this product for over 2 years and it works great. Take it to Florida with us as you can never trust how clean the grills are going to be. Sturdy sheets that clean easily and cook evenly. Very happy with the purchase. Do not recommend. First two( and the only two)I used caught on fire. Tried others but these are the best so far..you can pay more but I will stay with these... so durable I gave a couple away out of the six pack. 3 stars because it is non stick and heat resistant but too much grease collects and then dries out and sticks to food. Love them!!! Best price that I had seen on the internet.

Bought these for my husband because he never keeps the grill top clean and so far they work really well. Kind of a pain to clean but definitely doable and not a major complaint. They work great, use them everytime I grill, I ordered them months ago and still using the same one. Very easy to clean and re-use grill tools. Worked exactly as expected. What could be better than that? My husband loves grilling with these. This was our second order. Great buy. Worked exactly as advertised. Easy clean up. No sticking. We gave it a real test with teriyaki sauce and veggies. The first one got a hole in it right away and the second one has a worn spot and I did no scrub it too hard.....we'll see.
